While West Coast Express continues to run normally, job action by CP Rail workers will still an effect on local operations come Wednesday.

Craig Brown is with Teamsters Local 320.

He says pickets will be up immediately at the yard in Port Coquitlam: "I don't believe that pickets will be up anywhere else, probably until the afternoon at the earliest, and that's Deltaport and Vancouver Intermodal facility."

Select Rocky Mountaineer passengers are also feeling the effects of the job action.

Company spokesperson Ian Robertson says passengers in Kamloops are being bused to destinations in Alberta.

"The only tracks that we travel on with CP Rail are between Kamloops, Banff and Calgary. So, our other three routes are not affected at all, it's business as usual."

The union won't say how many people will be part of the picket lines.
