Watch those campfires.
That's the message from fire officials, as temperatures start to soar across Metro Vancouver.
Fire information officer Fionna Tollovsen says the danger rating may still be listed as "low," but adds of all the 22 Lower Mainland fires already this season, each one was human-caused.
"We do ask that you follow the campfire regulations, and this keeping your campfire to a half-metre by a half-metre. Also, ensure that you have either a shovel or enough water to fully extinguish the fire."
Tollovsen adds a layer of haze may start making its way into Metro -- it's the smoke from massive fires state-side in Colorado.
Cities in the interior are already feeling those effects.
