Walking on the street where there are no sidewalks
Kids should always walk on the left side of the street facing traffic. This allows the kids to see approaching traffic and move out of the way should the approaching traffic come close to them.

Driving in the Rain
Slippery wet roads
Roads are only slippery during the first 10 minutess of rain. This is due to dried impurities from motor vehicles like anti-freeze, motor oil and windshield washer fluid. Once these impurities become wet they create a film on the road surface which makes the surface slippery. After 10 minutes these impurities are washed down the sewer and no longer make the road surface slippery.

Railway Signal- Flashing red lights only
When you have
red railway lights flashing you can treat these lights as flashing red
lights, come to a complete stop, if a train is not approaching you may
proceed over the tracks. If a train is approaching and is a safe
distance away again you may proceed with caution.

Left turns- Left turns are always left of the center of the intersection.
Left turns with a center boulevard- turn so the vehicle is beside the boulevard on the left side.
Left turn at a controlled intersection- always establish 1/3 of the way into the intersection with the car to the right of the yellow directional line. Once established in the intersection you are allowed to clear the intersection on a yellow light.
