The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are suing Keystone Entertainment of Calgary over the cancelled Aerosmith Concert last summer. A statement of claim was filed Monday. Aerosmith and ZZ Top were to have played the Winnipeg Stadium August 7th. A reported 10-thousand tickets had been sold. However the concert was cancelled after lead singer Steve Tyler fell from a stage in South Dakota two days before the Winnipeg date, breaking a shoulder. He also received 20 stitches to his head. A lawyer for the Bombers told CJOB... Keystone Entertainment failed to fulfill terms of the contract which caused the club to incur expenses. However he would not disclose what those expenses were.

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is ready if there's a shortage of isotopes used by doctors to perform imaging tests:
The WRHA's Medical Director of Diagnostic Imaging Dr. Sander Demeter says they also have an arrangement with Argentina to provide isotopes if required. A reactor in the Netherlands is scheduled to close for several months meaning there could be a major shortage of isotopes.

Winnipeg Police are still trying to determine what happened to a badly injured man found Sunday night in a stairwell of the Winnipeg Square Parkade at Graham Avenue and Fort Street. Police found the injured 30-year old man around 9:30 and he was rushed to hospital in critical but stable condition. One man who uses the parkade tells CJOB he considers it unsafe.
A spokeswoman for Crown Property Management that operates the parkade has been unavailable for comment.

Canadian parents now have a new tool to help keep their children safer on the Internet. At it's unveiling in Winnipeg Monday, the Canadian Center for Child Protection launched a new website where parents can get tips on how to keep their kids from going on questionable Internet sites. Lianna McDonald is Executive Director of the Centre. She tells CJOB, the new site is very user friendly.

RCMP in Thompson have charged a 45-year old man in connection with three sexual assaults. One is alleged to have occurred last October in a home in Thompson. The local detachment received another complaint from two additional women January 19th. A suspect was arrested a remanded in custody on Friday.
Three people have been arrested in Portage la Prairie after a robbery late Sunday night. Police say a 38-year old woman got her vehicle stuck in the snow. Three people asked if she needed help. Instead of help, one of the three asked her for money at knife point. Officers caught up to a group matching the description a short time later. Charges are pending against an 18-year old, 19-year old, and a 14-year old.
RCMP in Selkirk were called to a break and enter last evening. When they got there they found footprints in the snow that lead to another home. Officers simply followed the footprints ...recovered a small amount of jewelry and arrested a 24-year old man.
