A private aboriginal company in Manitoba has set up shop to help residential school survivors with their compensation applications.
Achimoo President Belinda VandenBroeck says they will go into the communities where former students live and help them with their compensation claims.
VandenBroeck stresses while they will take 15 percent of the claim like a lawyer would, she feels they can do a better job.
The company's start up costs of 250 thousand dollars were covered by its board members and the Royal Bank of Canada.
