It is seen as a victory for Metis in Manitoba.
Thursday morning in Brandon Provincial Court, Judge John Combs ruled Will Goodon can hunt without a Manitoba hunting license.
The President of the Manitoba Metis Federation David Chartrand is not surprised:
Chartrand says he's meeting with Premier Doer next week hopefully to pave the way for a final settlement with the Metis on the issue.
