A bail hearing is expected to continue Tuesday for a man convicted in a 1986 Winnipeg murder.
Frank Ostrowski is trying to win his freedom while his case is reviewed by the federal Justice department.
The 60-year-old man was convicted in 1987 of ordering the murder of Robert Neiman.
The case is under review because there are suggestions a star witness had his drug charges dropped after testifying against Ostrowski.
The witness' lawyer, Hymie Weinstein, told day one of the bail hearing yesterday that he did not share details of the deal with his client until after his client testified.
The crown plans to argue it would be premature to free Ostrowski because the review has not been completed.
