The Provincial government has provided 4.3 million dollars to the Manitoba Metis Federation for what's being billed as an historic housing agreement. The initiative will allow the Federation to co-ordinate and implement the rehabilitation of public housing in rural and remote regions. The focus is on 645 public housing units. MMF President David Chartrand says proper housing will enable Metis families to have a good start in raising their children and grandchildren.
