A judge has issued a ruling on funding for a lawyer to represent the family of Brian Sinclair at the inquest into his death.
Sinclair died after a 34 hour wait in the Health Sciences Centre emergency room in 2008.
Justice Ray Wyant set out a list of guidelines for legal representation for the Sinclair family.
He says the family is entitled to one lawyer who should be paid 210-dollars an hour, which is the going rate for a senior lawyer hired by the province.
The lawyer can bill the province for 9 hours a day, but should not be reimbursed for travel costs.
Wyant also says his recommendations are non-binding and the government can reject the suggestions.
