It's an exciting time for Asperger Manitoba Inc.
A new project has begun...to increase support groups for people diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome-a neurodevelopmental disorder on the autism spectrum.
Bev Larmour the Vice-President of AMI tells CJOB the disorder affects all ages...
The grants supporting the current three phase project will include more support groups and skills groups being offered.
David Perlmutter suffers from Asperger's and tells CJOB that a social skills group has helped him...
All are welcome to an information meeting and celebration of the opening of the Asperger Manitoba Resource Centre. The "Ribbon cutting" ceremony and meeting is this Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Society for Manitobans with Disabilities on Sherbrook Street.
