Winnipeg police say there has been a significant development in a Winnipeg child abduction case.
While police aren’t saying much, CJOB news has learned the two children are with a private investigator.
A post on the Mexican FIND Foundation’s website says the two Maryk children, who have been missing since 2008, have been found in Mexico.
The two children were 5 and 7 at the time of their abduction. The report says the children’s father, Kevin Maryk and his associate Robert Groen, have been apprehended by Interpol Mexico. Both had warrants out for their arrest in connection with the abduction.
Their mother, Emily Cablek, had legal custody of the children at the time of their disappearance.
