A Winnipeg man, and a person from Vancouver face charges after RCMP turned up a marihuana growing operation in Elma last Friday. Police seized over 700 marihuana plants in various stages of growth, as well as growing equipment. RCMP in Lac du Bonnet executed the search warrant in a former commercial building. 38-year old Man Minh Nguyen of Winnipeg and 26-year old Jiebin Deng of Vancouver are being held in custody.
The investigation follows another case last September when 191 plants were seized in another raid in the RM of Lac du Bonnet. No charges have yet been laid in that instance.
