Funding For Downtown Projects
CJOB News Team reporting
11/5/2009

A couple of downtown projects got a kick-start today...thanks to 3.2 million dollars of funding from the Winnipeg Partnership Agreement. All but a million dollars of that money is going towards the refurbishment of 104 King Street. The historic facade of the building is being restored in addition to some interior upgrades for retail space and added parking. 800-thousand dollars is being spent to improve green space and lighting in Old Market Square. Just over 100-thousand dollars is going towards the restoration of the exterior and other upgrades to the former Dominion Bank building at 585 Main.
