Frost Covered Roads Cause Major Morning Drive Troubles
CJOB News Team reporting
11/6/2009

The drive to work was a real mess in many areas of Winnipeg as well as on the city outskirts. Around 7 o'clock Friday morning, police went to a collision on Garven Road about a mile east of Highway 59 where a truck collided with a SUV. The 51-year old driver of the truck was taken to Concordia Hospital, as well as the two people in the SUV. Police believe frost on the road was a contributing factor. In all, RCMP responded to 12 collisions Friday morning between 6:30 and 8:30 on the perimeter and various highways near Oakbank, Stonewall and Selkirk.
