Three youths nabbed for auto theft

Winnipeg Police have three teens in custody in connection with a vehicle theft yesterday.

Just before 1 pm Friday afternoon, police spotted a stolen vehicle with three occupants near Portage Avenue and Sturgeon Road.

The vehicle sped off, but police later caught up with the abandoned vehicle near the 100 block of Country Club Road.

The suspects were rounded up after a brief foot chase.

Police arrested a 15 year old male - classified as a Level 4 Offender -, along with a 17-year-old male and 16-year-old female.
They face numerous charges, including Theft Over $5000.00, Fail to Comply with Sentence, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Failure to Comply with Sentence, Flight from Police Officer, Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Drive without a Licence, and Possessing Controlled Drug/Substance.
