Missing Girl Found; Police Investigate Explosions Near Grant Park

Winnipeg Police say charges are pending against a 31-year old man after a 16-year old girl who went missing... was found safe during the noon-hour Friday. Police want to thank the public for helping to find Rhianna Kirkness. The suspect is facing charges of harbouring a child under 18.

The Winnipeg Police Services Major Crimes Unit is investigating after two small explosions were reported this past Monday evening near Grant Park. Police discovered an explosive device was placed in a trash can. It did considerable damage. A second similar explosion occurred nearby damaging some recycling containers. No one was injured.

Six more people have come forward after two sexual assaults were reported earlier this week in River Heights. Some of the incidents occurred in St. James. Police are still looking for a suspect.

Police are looking for a suspect after a bank robbery Tuesday afternoon in the 1000 block of Assiniboine. There were no injuries. The suspect got some cash and took off.
