Impaired woman leads police on wild chase with 7 year old in tow
CJOB News Team reporting
11/22/2009

A 37-year-old northern Manitoba woman is facing a host of charges after a high-speed police chase that ended when police used spike belts to flatten her tires... and then found a 7-year-old child in the front seat!

The woman led police on a 60-km chase Saturday afternoon, at speeds approaching 100 kilometres per hour.

The unidentified woman is charged with impaired driving, dangerous driving, breaching probation, and fleeing police.

There were no injuries...

A vehicle matching the description of the woman's car apparently toppled a light pole in Winnipegosis.
