Province looks to add economic education to school curriculum
CJOB News Team reporting
11/24/2009

The province is developing a plan to add economic and financial education to the school curriculum for students in grades 4-12.

The Building Futures Project won't replace current courses but instead be integrated into existing math, social studies, language arts and science courses.

More information is expected at a luncheon today with the province, Investors Group and the Canadian Foundation for Economic Education.

Development work will continue with the province hoping to roll out the program gradually in 2011 and 2012.
