The national housing agency says housing starts rebounded in the second half of 2009 and will further strengthen this year.
Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation's first-quarter market outlook predicts 4-thousand-600 housing starts in Manitoba in 2010, up from 4-thousand-174 last year.
And the agency says housing starts will number up to 4-thousand-800 units next year.
The average sale price for homes in the province is expected to increase about 10-thousand dollars each year as well.
CMHC's chief economist, Bob Dugan, says housing markets across the country will benefit from improving economic conditions and low mortgage rates.
