Last night we took the Rolling Stone Magazine idea of naming the top 10 Beatle songs and tried to compile our own Nighthawk list. As usual, we couldn't get consensus but that's OK.
For better or worse, and i no particular order, my own top 10 Beatle songs
I Wanna Hold Your Hand-a revolutionary song at the time. Nobody was playing pop music like this. This song changed the way songs were written and played.
While My Guitar Gently Weeps-a song the Beatles and producer George Martin turned down when George Harrison first presented it. He forced the issue by bringing pal Eric Clapton along to play on it and the band went along with it, sans Lennon, who didn't show up for the session.
Hey Jude-a McCartney classic, which has stood the test of time and remains a staple of his live performances.
