Sunday Curling Update

In Curling, Winnipeg's Mike McEwen beat fellow Winnipeger Jeff Stoughton sunday night to move into Monday's 8am semi-finals at the World Curling Tour Sun Life event in Brantford, Ontario. Jennifer Jones of Winnipeg was knocked out of contention in the womens division.

At the Interlake Pharmacy Classic in Stonewall, Allan Lyburn, Reid Caruthers, Holly Scott and Janet Harvey have qualified for Mondays 4:30pm semi-finals in the mens and womens divisions respectively. They'll be joined by Jill Thurston and Chelsea Carey in the women's semi finals, and by David Bohn and Dave Elias in the men's event .

And, Wayne Ewasko of Heather won the safeway Northern Berth Bonspiel in the Pas, while the Junior mens berth bonspiel sent Riley smith and Alex Forrest to the Provincial championships, and Bree-ann Meakin and Alyssa Vandepole qualified for the Provincials out of the Junior womens berth bonspiel.
