Wpg. Police Report Violent Night

Winnipeg Police have brought in their homicide unit after a violent incident early this morning in Transcona.
Police Constable Jacqueline Chaput tells CJOB they were called to Regent Avenue and Day Street around 3:20 a.m. after getting reports of a badly injured man in the parking lot there.
The man later died of his injuries.
Police have a number of people in custody, but so far no charges have been laid.
So far no names have been released.
Meantime, police tape is up at this morning near the Norwood Bridge.
It's the scene of a possible stabbing.
Police are blocking off traffic south on St. Mary's Road and east of Marion Street.
There are no other details at this time.
And mayhem in the Osborne Village last night..
1 man is in hospital after a brawl broke out in an Osborne Street nightclub.
Police say a number of people began fighting outside the Hi-Fi Nightclub in the Village around closing time.
One man suffered injuries after being beaten about the head.
He's listed in stable condtion.
Police still investigating that incident.
