Narrow escape from Norway House home fire
CJOB News Team reporting
11/21/2009

A 16-year-old Northern Manitoba boy managed to save his ill grandmother from of a burning house, but had to leave a man inside the burning building.

Police say a 25-year-old man was still trapped by flames inside the Norway House home. Thick smoke initially prevented police from getting past the front door.

Firefighters finally gained entry after pumping water onto the blaze, and the man was rescued. He was taken to a local hospital in stable condition, before being airlifted to a Winnipeg hospital.
