Weston break-in suspect wanted in assault on girl, 14
CJOB News Team reporting
11/22/2009

Police have released more information regarding a break-in at a Weston residence on November 14, in which a 14 year old girl was assaulted.

An unknown male entered the residence and assaulted the victim while she was asleep. The suspect fled when he was confronted by a family member.

The victim was taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries.

The suspect is described as a male, Asian or Aboriginal in appearance, 5’10 to 6’0” tall with a medium build, dark complexion and long dark hair. He was wearing a black toque, a white hoodie with black graphics and dark pants.

Later that morning at approximately 10:00 a.m., a suspicious male was seen walking west on Portage Avenue outside of Headingley, Manitoba.

The male is described as 18-25 years of age with a tall, thin build and long straight black hair down to his mid-back. He was wearing black track pants with white stripes down the side, a black and white hoodie with black graphics all over it and a baseball cap with a flat peak. He was also carrying a duffle bag and may have been hitchhiking westbound out of Winnipeg.

Investigators are currently attempting to locate and identify the male that was seen leaving the city to assist with the investigation.

Anyone with information regarding the identity or location of the male is asked to contact Winnipeg Police or CrimeStoppers at 786-TIPS.
