The woes on home ice continued Monday night for the Manitoba Moose as they were beat 7-3 by Lake Erie.
Despite a 1-1 score in the early going, the Monsters scored 4 straight to hold a 5-1 lead in the third period. The scoring chased Eric Comrie from the goal after making 21 saves on 26 shots. The teams traded goals late in the third with Lake Erie clinching the win on the empty net.
Matt Halischuck, Paul Postma and Jiri Fronk had the goals for Manitoba. Postma was sent down to the Moose by the Jets earlier in the day.
After Comrie was pulled, Jussi Olkinuora stopped 7 of 8 shots in relief. It was only his second AHL appearance this season.
The Moose take Tuesday off before hosting Lake Erie once again on Wednesday. It is the final game of an 8 game home-stand in which the Moose have just two wins.
