We still have a couple of major projects taking place in the city that will affect your commutes in the morning and afternoon.
The first one is ongoing and takes place on Main Street at Inkster Blvd. Sewer repairs in the area has the median lanes in both directions taken away. There are also no left turns allowed at any leg of the intersection and through traffic is not permitted from Inkster across Main Street.
The other major project is along WB Portage Avenue where from Furby to Sherbrook, the middle two lanes will be closed for hydro work for the next month. Through traffic will be permitted in the diamond lane.
The city had extended the other project affecting WB Portage from Arlington to Burnell, but that should wrap up early this week.
Other areas to watch include:
- NB Archibald from Cote to Deniset, the curb lane will be closed for gas work for the next month.
- NB Sherbrook at Portage, the east curb lane and bicycle lane will be closed for that same project that’s affecting Portage.
- NB Sherbrook from Notre Dame to McDermot, the curb lane is closed until the end of the week.
