A tragic end to the story of a baby girl who was sent to hospital with serious injuries.
The RCMP says the infant died Saturday.
Back on January 4, officers were called near the Sioux Valley Dakota First Nation. When they got there they found out the girl had been transported to a local hospital before being sent to Winnipeg.
The infant spent the last few weeks in a Winnipeg hospital in critical condition before passing away.
The RCMP Serious Crimes Unit has led the case since the initial call and now considers it a homicide case.
A residence on the Sioux Valley Dakota First Nation has been secured and is being held as part of the initial investigation.
