Winnipeg Jets defenceman Mark Stuart will be out for at least a month after suffering a broken hand during Saturday’s victory over the Edmonton Oilers.
Stuart was injured during the first period but continued to play for the remainder of the game.
Head coach Paul Maurice says it’s quite a feat playing through that kind of pain. Maurice says it could take up to six weeks before Stuart is back on the ice.
Adam Pardy is expected to take Stuart’s place on Tuesday when the Jets face off against Carolina.
