A 41-year-old woman was found dead in the basement of a Pritchard Avenue home Monday, and police are now calling her death a homicide.
The body of Marilyn Rose Monroe was located in the house after emergency personnel responded to a well-being call Monday morning.
Angela Schaefer lives in a neighbouring house in the 200 block of Pritchard. She says the couple that lived in the house Monroe was found in were good neighbours but were often loud.
“There was fighting, yelling, screaming, waking my boyfriend up, keeping him at night.”
She adds that police had been to the house before. Police say the circumstances surrounding Monroe’s death remain unconfirmed pending the results of an autopsy.
