A sense of sharing surrounded this years round table meeting for Missing and Murdered Aboriginal Women and Girls.
It was the second annual discussion, held today in downtown Winnipeg.
For this year’s meeting, families and leaders both said they wanted more time to connect. They wanted to make sure there was more space and time to share stories, have open dialogue and sit in ceremony.
Premier Selinger hosted the event at the Delta hotel that people from all over the country came to be a part of.
Last year, the discussion was held while the Conservatives were being called-on for a National Inquiry for approximately 1200 missing women.
