A 19-year-old man is facing attempted murder charges after shots rang out in the South Osborne area.
Over the noon hour yesterday, police were called to the area of Osborne Street and Jubilee Avenue after a man fired shots at a 19-year-old man and 17-year-old girl near the St. Vital Bridge.
The two ran away to the girl’s house, but as Constable Eric Hofley says, that wasn’t the end of it.
“A short time later, the accused saw two family members of the female along with the previous male victim in the area of Walker Avenue and Daly Street South, where he immediately began to discharge his weapon towards their van,” Hofley said. “No one was struck during this incident either.”
Police had already responded to the area and heard the shots, arresting the man shortly after near Walker Avenue and Nassau Street South.
He was violent and officers had to use a Taser.
Bradley Lewis Hale is facing a number of charges and remains in custody.
