Manitoba’s treaty commissioner, Jamie Wilson has been informed by the new Liberal government in Ottawa that he is about to be out of a job.
He was appointed by the Harper government in 2010 and was subsequently reappointed twice.
After six years of work, Wilson will not get another term.
He wasn’t given any reasons for why he’s being let go.
I spoke with Jamie about his work in Manitoba and what lies ahead for him.
