The Manitoba Moose survived a late onslaught to hold on for a 3-2 win over the visiting Stockton Heat.
The Moose stormed out to a 3-0 lead through two periods while only allowing 11 shots on goal.
The Heat woke up in the final frame, scoring twice in an 87 second span to make things interesting, but couldn’t get all the way over the hump.
Connor Hellebuyck made 19 saves for the win. Jake Baker scored his first AHL goal in the win for the Moose, while Darren Kramer and John Albert also scored.
The Moose have ten games left in the season. Their next matchup goes Saturday night at home against Charlotte.
