The Manitoba Liberal Party is five candidates short of a full slate.
Election Manitoba says the party’s hopeful in Gimli, Joanne Levy, can’t run because she was an enumerator earlier this year.
The agency also rejected nomination forms from four other rural candidates because they didn’t have proper addresses for some people who signed their paperwork.
As a result, for the first time since 1999, the Liberals will not have a full slate of 57 candidates.
The Liberal Leader, Rana Bokhari, is disappointed and feels the candidates are being disqualified on a technicality.
