Bryant Turner wasn’t unemployed for long. The veteran Defensive Tackle, who was released by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers just over two weeks ago on March 22nd, has found a new home with the BC Lions.
It will be awhile before the popular 28 year old native of Mobile, Alabama returns to Winnipeg as the Bombers and BC don’t meet until the start of a home and home series Thanksgiving Weekend on Saturday, 8th. The teams meet again the following Friday Night on October 14th in Vancouver.
Turner played 5 seasons for Winnipeg and had 26 sacks and 89 tackles to go along with two forced fumbles. His time with the Bombers came to an end after the Blue and Gold inked free agents Keith Shologan and Euclid Cummings in the off-season.
