For the first time since 2012, Canada has captured gold at the World Men’s Curling Championship.
The team skipped by Kevin Koe got a 5-3 win over Denmark in the gold medal game.
It’s Koe’s second world title, winning in 2010 but with a completely different team behind him. It’s also the second world title for lead Ben Hebert and third Marc Kennedy, who won in 2008 with Kevin Martin. Second Brent Laing won world titles with Glenn Howard in 2007 and 2012.
It’s also the best finish ever for Denmark in this competition.
