Guns were drawn in a confrontation between Winnipeg Police and two armed men after a home invasion in the North End early Thursday morning.
Officers arrived at the house at McGregor Street and Manitoba Avenue at around 4:30 a.m. and were confronted by two suspects.
Police say the officers drew their pistols and ‘challenged the suspects’, but were able to disarm both without any issues.
A sawed-off military rifle, three knives and a steel bar was seized.
Three women were hurt during the chaos. One woman is in unstable condition, while the other two suffered non life threatening injuries.
Police interviewed 13 witnesses from inside the home.
Stephen Stewart Mentuck, 27, and Kenneth Winston Allan Munroe, 31, are now facing a long list of charges including: break and enter along with robbery and assault.
Both remain in custody.
