A man is dead and a woman had to be airlifted to hospital after their pickups collided on a rural Manitoba road.
Around 10 a.m. Saturday, officers received a report of a crash on road 4W just south of Highway 2.
The trucks collided head-on after one of the drivers crossed over the centre line and into the path of the other.
A 23-year-old man from the RM of MacDonald was pronounced dead at the scene. A 62-year-old woman from Starbuck was airlifted to hospital and remains in stable condition.
RCMP are still investigating to find out why the crash happened in broad daylight. Alcohol has been ruled out as a factor.
