“I feel bad, I regret it”
Those are the words from the woman on trial for second-degree murder for allegedly beating and running over her sister with a truck in June of 2013 in Little Grand Rapids.
Court heard Tuesday, Pandora Owens her sister, Madison McKay and a friend were drinking heavily on the night of the incident, when she got into a fight with McKay, because she was going to go to police and report Owens for drinking and driving.
When pressed for further details, Owens said “I don’t remember, I blacked out”.
Owens also told court, that she and her sister got along well. “We’d go fishing together, we’d go to the store together. I would take her into my home and give her protection,” said Owens.
The 27-year-old has pleaded not-guilty to second degree murder.
