The man who has been called a hero by so many, wants to push the attention towards his community and its heroes.
Darby Allen has been battling the blaze around the clock, since the start of the wildfires in Northern Alberta. He says this has taken a toll on the community and on him – personally. The Chief says he needs to take about a week off to rejuvenate and have a couple of beers. He choked back tears yesterday, as he told reporters in Fort McMurray now that the fire had passed he wanted to tell his wife and children how much he loved them.
