Today on Winnipeg’s Morning News, we talked to Phil Squarie from the Luxe BBQ Company. This is the weekend, (especially with the weather so darn nice) that many people will be heading to the lake/the campground/the cottage and will fire up the BBQ for the first time this season. But, have you done a safety check first? Phil says even a simple little thing like a spider or spider web can be enough to cause a “blow up” and cause you and your “Q” all kinds of problems. He reminds everyone to make sure you do a complete cleaning of your BBQ first…before you fire it up….especially if it’s been sitting all winter long. And if you do find that something isn’t working? Make sure you get the CORRECT after-market parts to fix. Incorrect parts can cause a world of flame and pain ! And finally, check the expiry date on your propane tank. (yes…they do have an expiry date) You are putting yourself and your food at risk, if you don’t!
Hey the weather is FINALLY going to be great on a May-Long weekend! Hope you enjoy it !!
