WINNIPEG- There is a change in leadership at the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce.
President Dave Angus is stepping down to return to the private sector.
Vice-president Loren Remillard moves up a spot and becomes the new president.
“Our members, board of directors and staff are excited for the next step in The Chamber’s evolution and what that means in helping our members grow their business and their community,” said Angus. “Chambers across the country are dealing with the challenges associated with succession planning, and we’re pleased to be a role model to other chambers on how to develop and advance the next generation of leaders. Setting the pace has always been a hallmark of our Chamber. Loren’s leadership, passion and commitment to local business and the community are just a few of the many reasons why The Winnipeg Chamber is indeed in great hands.”
Angus will remain with The Chamber until July 31 to support the transition of the new leadership team. The team will be led by Remillard and Alana Odegard, who takes on the role of Chamber executive vice president effective July 1, 2016.
