WINNIPEG – A child is recovering after what police initially called a potential hit and run in the St. James area Sunday morning.
The boy, around 6-years-old, was hit at around 11 a.m. near the intersection of Ness Ave. and Whytewold Rd.
Police initially said it looked like a vehicle had struck the child and then took off.
However, police now say the driver is being cooperative and the incident is not being considered a hit-and-run.
The boy is now in stable condition.
No charges are being laid at this time.
