Winnipeg Police say it started with argument between two women on Logan Avenue near Princess Street at around 1:45 a.m.
The confrontation escalated when one of the women pulled out a knife and allegedly stabbed the victim several times. Then another man joined in on the attack and kicked the woman repeatedly as she laid on the ground.
The 21 year old was rushed to hospital in unstable condition, but has since been upgraded to stable.
The two suspects, both 18 years old, were tracked down and arrested. They both face aggravated assault charges and remain in custody.
