WINNIPEG – Imagine you’ve won the lottery. You’re set for life. Would you keep working?
A new survey from Monster Canada found that about half of us would keep working, even if they didn’t need to.
But for those who would like to stay employed, 53 per cent said they would choose a new job they were more passionate about while only a third would keep working in their current field.
Many also said they would cut back their hours and just work part time if given the chance.
There were also differences between genders: 53 per cent of men would want to keep working while only 41 per cent of women said the same thing. It also found men were much more likely to pursue a job that compliments their passions.
The survey was answered by 1,576 Canadians in late May.
