A sawed-off shotgun and six rocks of cocaine were among the items seized by police after a traffic stop Friday evening.
Winnipeg patrol officers pulled a taxi cab over near McGregor Street and Pritchard Avenue around 10:30 p.m. Friday after a Highway Traffic Act infraction.
Once the cab stopped the front passenger got out and attempted to flee the scene. Police arrested the man after a brief pursuit. Another male passenger was also arrested.
Police then searched the vehicle. In addition to the shotgun and the $120 dollars worth of cocaine, they also discovered shotgun ammunition and $1,290 in cash.
Jason Woodhouse, 22, and Mark Young, 21, both face multiple charges including the Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking.
Both men are in police custody.
