WINNIPEG – The phone is ringing off the hook at local homes and in turn at Winnipeg Police headquarters.
The callers tell the residents they’re from Revenue Canada and that taxes are owed.
One person who contacted our newsroom today says he’s received upwards of 15 calls and the exchanges have been ‘somewhat colourful’.
All of this has prompted Winnipeg Police to offer another safety warning in regard to the scam.
