BRANDON – Manitoba has named a section of highway after a former Conservative premier.
A long stretch of Highway 10, running 195 kilometres from the International Peace Garden to Riding Mountain National Park, will now be known as the John Bracken Highway.
A sign honouring the former premier was unveiled in Brandon with Bracken’s family present.
Bracken was premier of Manitoba for 21 years, from 1922 to 1943.
