WINNPEG – After nearly five hours and 31 combined hits, Jacob Rogers ended things with a walkoff single in the 11th inning to give the Winnipeg Goldeyes a 16-15 win over the Kansas City T-Bones at Shaw Park.
Yes, you read that right. 16-15.
It was not a good night to be a pitcher. The Fish drew ten walks and scored seven unearned runs but couldn’t keep the T-Bones off the scoreboard until Cameron McVey finished the final 3 1/3 innings allowing just one hit.
With the win the Goldeyes kept pace with the Laredo Lemurs; the two teams are tied for the first wild card spot in the American Association.
The series continues tonight at 6.
