The search has been called off at Birds Hill Park beach.
Emergency crews have been scanning the water since around 12:30p.m., Wednesday after reports that someone had seen what they believed was a head in the water that appeared to go under and not surface.
“We are being extremely cautious at this time and have deployed appropriate resources,” said RCMP Sergeant Bert Paquet shortly after the search began.
Paquet says scans and other equipment haven’t been able to find anyone in the lake. Also, no one has been reported missing.
Search at Birds Hill concludes, no one found in the water. Good to know everyone is safe.
